Jobby's auto's

Postby jobby2812 » Sun Jul 11, 2010 5:31 pm

OK as the title states I am growing my own auto's. Actually they came from Joint Doctors auto mix but I have bred them twice since I brought the original pack so they are my auto's now. I originally started with 14 auto's but 2 didn't make it. One didn't get the shell off quick enough and died and the other got attacked by a slug. They were grown for 2 weeks in my greenhouse using the natural sun. They have been under my 250w hps for the last week until they sexed. So that means they are 3 weeks out the soil this weekend.

As stated I started off with 14 seeds, 2 of which never made it. Out of those 12 that survived I had 5 females and 7 males. The 5 females have now been potted up into 11 litres of my cheap soil that says it feeds 4-6 weeks. That is going to be their final home under my 250w hps which is currently running on 15/9 for them. I can't run the light any longer due to having the fans on and sleeping.

The 5 females are on the left and the 7 males on the right. The tallest male in the background was a few days older than the rest:

Looking good, Jobby!

I'll bet you get a 1/2 pound.

I was gifted some autoflowering Trainwreck crosses, but haven't tried them yet.

It will be interested in seeing your results!

I think I'll be extremely lucky to pull 1/2 pound. Nearer 4.4oz or approx 125 grams. I used to average around 25 grams a plant.

Sounds interesting your TWxAuto. From what I have seen auto's usually do better indoors but you get so much better sun than what we get in the UK. I'm suprised you haven't done them yet. Stick them in some good potting compost either in a small but deep pot or straight into 7-10 litre pot for their final home. They will be easy to move around to keep them in the sun. 2-3 weeks and you should know the sex. 10+ weeks from seed to harvest.

Hmmmm...

I may use a heating pad, and a 400 watt HPS on 18/6, in a greenhouse this winter, right after the main harvest in October.

Looking good Jobby - have any regular plants going while your auto's are going to flower out? How long does it usually take from this point, around 6 weeks?

MV - Attitude seedbank is safe and gives you freebies with every order however shipping is a bit pricey as well (10-25$ USD depending on what method you choose)

MV thanks for dropping in, yes I have pulled the males. I have no intentions of growing any seeds this time around. As for keeping them out in the greenhouse I don't want to risk it. It's only a small greenhouse out in the front garden. Although the posession of seeds is legal any other form of cannabis is illegal where I am from. I just don't want to risk it with my neighbours.

Average height is around 24" yes although some strains are smaller whilst others are taller. I have seen and heard that the Onyx can grow 2-4oz per plant although the average I have grown is 25 grams. Some slightly more and vise verca. Of the auto's I have grown are Joint Doctors Auto Mix, LR2 Dieselryder and Lowlife's AK47xLR2.

As far as I know you can't reveg an auto nor can you take clones. Seed only I am afraid.

I have never tried Attitude Seed Bank but have heard good reviews. I personally use Dr Chronic as I live in the UK and usually get my seeds next day. Not sure if they ship to the US assuming that is where your from.

Mystic thanks for dropping in. From the point of taking the photo's yes around 6 weeks. All in all they should have around 9 weeks from seed. A couple may go 10 weeks. At the moment no I don't have any regs going. I am thinking about starting them when the auto's get around to 7 weeks. Hopefully I can veg them under my cfl for those 2 weeks before transplanting into the flower room for another week or 2 veg under the hps. Then flower. Got some seeds I won from Lady Zandra I want to try next.

MV one quick thing have a good look before you buy your auto's. Try and find some grows and proper reviews as I keep seeing people getting bad batches of autos where they don't actually autoflower. I'm thinking a lot of these seed banks seem to be rushing them out on to the shelves before they get them stable. It was only a couple of years ago there were only 1 seller that I saw which was Joint Doctor. Then Lowlife came along and ripped through a load of strains so I think other seed banks thought if they could do it why couldn't they do it. Lowlife at one point was just a couple of guys growing in their conservatory in the UK but at least they were advertising them as F1's etc.

Week 4

OK I am at week 4 from seed with these auto's. They seem to be coming along nicely. I've got 1 plant that has decided to top itself on a couple of branches. It's just split off into 2 growing heads. I'm not complaining as this is meaning extra bud sites:
