Starburst...A work in Progress

So you have a particularly sweet plant growing, and you'd swear she is able to take a blue ribbon, post the pics of her here along with all of the breeder and strain info..

Starburst...A work in Progress

The aroma and flavor of this plant still vary a bit, but smell and taste much like the candy for which it is named. In the best phenos, the flavor is very intensely sour/sweet/fruity. Hybrid vigor has helped these plants yield up to a kilogram, outdoors. About 75% sativa and 25% indica.

The parent strains came from Chronix(not Chronic) and Durban(not poison) from the now defunct Hillbilly Dreams seed house, about eight years ago.

Once stabilized, I want to try further crossing this with the clone only Trainwreck I'm fortunate to have. Hopefully Trainwrecks strong lemony flavors will influence the overall aroma and flavor for a slightly more sour taste.

First pic is at the bottom, until I figure out how to manipulate uploads.

Unfortunately, my best late season pix are too large to upload.

This is the same two headed male. Hidden behind him is the female that I pollenated in the Spring of 2009. She's visible above the male, in the first pic.

Started early to produce Spring flowers as a preview so that I can choose the best plant to pollinate.

This seed turned out to be male and was used for a back cross with its sister.

I forgot this was here!

Too much of a good thing, I guess.

This may be a big year for Starburst.

I have breeding pairs of both IBL parent strains as well as a couple F1 Durban x Chronix.

I need to freshen the seed and will backcross the parent strains into the F1s.

Things are beginning to go very rapidly!

I began pollinating a couple days ago.
